Female Comedians, I Heart You!
Because I think I'm quite funny (scratch that, I am hilarious in my own mind), I'm in the mood to dedicate a post to some of my favorite female comedians of all time. They inspire me to be witty, sarcastic, cutting, amusing, rude, non-politically correct, and..... make weird noises and faces in public.
Tina Fey
I love everything she's in, but mostly I love her for her infamous and legendary Sarah Palin act. LOVE.
Amy Poehler
I credit Amy for teaching me a noise that I now use at random in any given conversation, in front of anyone, and in any public place. And it embarrasses the Hubby, but I gotta be me. Word.

Watch til the end, home fries. Tell me it's not contagious.
OH OOOOH!
Lucille Ball.
It's hard to choose just one episode of I Love Lucy to showcase her comic talent, but if forced, I'm going with the Vitameatavegamin episode. Hiiiilarious. Remember, she wants to be an actress and her husband is on TV. She purposefully lies to get a role in a commercial for a vitamin drink. With an insane alcohol content. If you've never seen it, watch it here

Some may see it as an old-fashioned lesson in listening to your husband and being honest with yourself and with others. But I see it as this: who among us girls hasn't been pissed at a guy, drank too much, and made an ass out of ourselves in public? Amen sister, amen.
Kathy Griffin
Dear Kathy, You've not only taught me to embrace my inner truck driver and swear like I mean it, you've taught me to judge others in creative and clever ways. Thank you for making me a better person.
Chelsea Handler
Chelsea is queen of sarcastic delivery, in my book. I love the deadpan way she can deliver some funny crap. She's also become quite the hottie as well. Good for her.
Betty White
What can I say? There'd better be a Betty White museum somewhere. Or I'm gonna build one.
Ellen Degeneres
Nothing says funny and witty like Ellen. When it comes to perfect improv, she's my gal. Plus her dance moves are killer.
Kathleen Madigan
I saw a stand up show on Comedy Central featuring Ms. Madigan. I laughed my butt off. Not really, cuz it's still attached to me and larger than ever, but I LOLed a LOT.
If you've never seen her, YouTube her. Here's a sample

Kate Gosselin
This Gosselin woman, pure comedic gold. The way she mimics and parodies wannabe "celebrities" who think they're famous because of a stint on a "reality" TV show.... The way she struts her stuff in heels and fake tans and fake nails and expensive clothes to mock others obsessed with 15 minutes of fame.... what's that you say? She's not putting on a show?? She really thinks she's a celebrity, huh? Well I'll be damned.
Tell me, who makes YOU belly laugh?

I love the classic female comedians most from SNL like Gilda Radner, Laraine Newman, Jane Curtin...
